For anyone interested in my writing, especially my fiction – and all the more so, my fiction that’s set in Vietnam – I have a short story available now on Amazon.com.
Following is the Product Description for my story, “Like Smoke”:
Product Description
In this self-contained excerpt from a novel, which was once considered for a movie option, a young man traveling in Vietnam's Mekong Delta has a brief affair with an unhappily married river ecologist. When the two of them set out one morning to search for an endangered species of river dolphin, an accident befalls them that has tragic consequences.
This piece was originally published in the Spring 2008 edition of Ontario Review.
Readers with a Kindle, or a Kindle app for their iPhone, can download a copy. Apparently, it will also be available soon for download to personal computers.
In the hope that I don’t sound shamelessly self-promoting, if you know anyone who enjoys reading short stories, especially those set in Vietnam, feel free to spread the word. The story does cost $0.99, I must warn. And if you’d like to offer a review of it, that would be most welcome, too!
